Ack! How can I not have a picture of this outfit up yet? XD

Anyway, this was taken at the local Renaissance Festival. I went twice this year; it was a blast! I'm totally getting a season pass for next year. XD

It really isn't the best picture, however. My cape is messed up and you can hardly see my plume! And I really need to get some chainmail!

Oh, in case you're wondering, that's the fair map rolled up and stuck in my belt.

a suit of butted mail will be relatively inexpensive give-or-take a riveted hauberk is around 300-400$
icefalcon armoury GDFB and allbeststuff and do good work the latter though is a Indian company so you
get import tax the only really cheap method is to make it yourself

Thank you! Most of it is just from local craft stores. The helm and leather items were purchased rather than made by me, of course.

That's a really awesome costume. It does seem a bit big on you though, but I might not be looking right.

No, it's not really big. It's a bit baggy, but that's how it's supposed to be, really. The main thing that probably makes it look that way is the helmet; it really is huge for some reason. XD

Yeah, I think the helmet just accentuates everything else. Still, it's an awesome outfit! I bet this one would turn heads if you wore it on the street. LOL! ;-)

Yeah, I'm sure it would. Not as much as the costume I'm planning for next year though! :D

I'm making this: [link]

I've already got materials listed and everything. It'll cost quite a bit and take a lot of work, but I think I can do it. I've got a dozen sketches of the mask alone. XD

That will definitely look really cool when you have it finished. Going to build a scaly suit to go with it? :-)

The red and black really stands out against the white for me. Along with the belt and helmet, and what I can imagine of the cape and plume, that's a pretty sweet costume =)

Yeah, that's where I had the picture taken. It was awesome being there in costume--one of the lords of the fair bowed to me, and a couple ladies curtsied. XD Made me feel special.
